Welcome to the website of the Accountability and Accountancy Services Division (AASD). AASD is a division of the Department of Finance and Personnel (Northern Ireland Civil Service).
AASD is divided into four branches. For details on each branch use the branch links to the left.
The main activities of the division are:
- Providing advice, guidance and support in relation to:
- Public audit business
- Financial reporting, accountability and corporate governance
- Fraud and internal audit policy
- The production of resource accounts in accordance with FReM and to set timetables and consolidated Whole of Government Accounts in line with HM Treasury timescales
- Controls the issue of Funds from the Northern Ireland Consolidated Fund
